That’s right folks… just when you thought that Hollywood was tired of remaking classics or banking on franchises that slaughtered the box office (in a good way)… here comes the not so shocking news that they're doing it again.
Sony has announced that it will be bringing back its billion dollar franchise of “Men In Black” for a third time, and this time it will be in 3D. This means that audiences will get to experience a whole new level of CGI entertainment for this film.
So far “MIB III” it’s slated for release on May 25, 2012. Doesn’t that sound like a Memorial Day weekend cha-ching or what? You bet your sweet ass it does!! Will Smith only drops movies around major holidays and you can best believe that the MIB team will be stepping up their game thanks to Avatar.
As of right now Smith and director Barry Sonnenfeld have committed to the project, as well as, producers Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, and executive producer Steven Spielberg. If you’re wondering about Tommy Lee Jones, don’t. They’re still working on ironing out his contract but I’m sure he’ll be back too.
I’m wondering if we can expect for Smith to drop a new song and video for MIB III. You know that’s how he get’s down when it comes to the sci-fi flicks. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
